FGR1200 Trio 3-in-1 FRP Recycling Bin – 300L Fibreglass Recycling Station
The FRP recycling bin solves a problem stainless steel and HDPE both struggle with: a bin that has to look designed rather than specified. Fibre-reinforced plastic is moulded as one seamless piece, with the colour set into the material itself, so the FGR1200 Trio can be made in shapes, finishes, and colours that sheet metal simply cannot produce.
It holds 300 litres across three separate compartments, measures 1180mm wide, and lifts open at the top for fast liner changes. NORDVOX supplies it to hotels, shopping malls, offices, and public buildings across Malaysia — including an installation at The Westin Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
Why FRP Rather Than Steel or HDPE
Fibre-reinforced plastic — also called fibreglass or GRP — is a composite of glass fibres set in resin. Consequently, it behaves differently from both metal and injection-moulded plastic in ways that matter for a guest-facing bin.
- Seamless one-piece body — no welds, joints, or rivets, so there are no seams for grime to collect in and nothing to work loose over time.
- Colour through the material — pigment is set into the gelcoat rather than painted on the surface, so a scratch does not expose a different colour underneath.
- Genuinely corrosion-proof — FRP does not rust, pit, or stain. Unlike steel, it needs no grade decision for humid or coastal placement.
- Mouldable into custom shapes — curves, tapers, and bespoke profiles are achievable because the body is cast in a mould rather than folded from sheet.
- Lighter than steel — easier to reposition during cleaning or an event changeover, without sacrificing rigidity.
- Dent-resistant — the composite flexes under impact where thin-gauge steel permanently deforms.
Built for Custom Design
Because the body is moulded and the finish is integral, the FGR1200 is the most customisable bin in the NORDVOX range. Full-surface graphics, brand colour matching, recycling instructions, and bespoke stream labelling are all available — which is why it is specified by hotel groups and mall operators who need the bin to sit inside a design scheme rather than against it.
Above all, the top lid lifts off completely. Therefore, housekeeping staff change all three inner liners in a single action rather than reaching into each compartment separately.
FGR1200 or RSS1200?
NORDVOX supplies two 3-in-1 recycling bins at the same width. Therefore, the choice is about material and finish rather than size or capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an FRP recycling bin?
An FRP recycling bin is moulded from fibre-reinforced plastic, a composite of glass fibres set in resin — also known as fibreglass or GRP. Because the body is cast as one seamless piece with colour set into the material, it has no welds or joints, does not corrode, and can be moulded into shapes that sheet metal cannot produce.
Is FRP better than stainless steel for a recycling bin?
Neither is universally better. FRP wins where appearance, custom shaping, or full-surface branding matters, and in coastal locations where no metal grade is fully immune to salt air. Stainless steel wins where a polished metal finish suits the interior. Both resist Malaysian humidity well.
How much does the FGR1200 hold?
The FGR1200 Trio holds 300 litres in total across three separate compartments, each with its own removable inner liner. It measures 1,180mm long, 400mm wide, and 800mm high.
Can the bin be customised with our branding?
Yes. Because the body is moulded and the colour is integral to the material, the FGR1200 accepts full-surface graphics, brand colour matching, recycling instructions, and bespoke stream labelling. It is the most customisable bin in the NORDVOX range.
How are the inner liners emptied?
The top cover lifts off completely, so staff access all three liners in a single action rather than reaching into each compartment separately. Consequently, servicing is faster in high-traffic areas.
Does FRP fade or rust outdoors in Malaysia?
FRP does not rust, because it contains no metal. The pigment sits within the gelcoat rather than on the surface, so a scratch does not expose bare material underneath. For fully exposed outdoor placement, specify a UV-stabilised gelcoat.
Does NORDVOX deliver recycling bins across Malaysia?
Yes. NORDVOX has supplied recycling infrastructure in Malaysia since 1991 and is registered with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia (Reg. No. 357-02238912). Delivery covers all states including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak, and NORDVOX also serves clients in Singapore and Brunei.
